Frankie Armstrong and Kate Valentine:

This weekend masterclass is an interactive, experiential, live, weaving of your singing history with your passion and purpose to share songs, enabling you to step into your own, fullest and most natural voice-leadership.

What makes a great leader?

What makes you a great leader?

How can you come to know your own gifts?

The weaving of your gifts together with your passions is where the power is; the power to inspire and lead others into their own voices and singing lives.

This weekend is less about giving you skills and techniques and much more about meeting yourself through the art of singing. (You will of course pick up lot’s of skills too!)

We aim to inspire you to dive much further and deeper into your lives as song-sharer and artists, perhaps even absolutely claiming these identities for the first time!

Frankie Armstrong is a living legend! Singer, song writer, author, vocal activist, social worker and inspirational founder/leader of the natural voice network. Frankie has inspired many thousands of people over decades, into their voices.
Over lockdown, Frankie and Kate formed a wonderful new friendship.
Kate Valentine is registered nurse and founder of Singing Mamas, a national non-profit for maternal well-being. Bringing singing groups to local communities and to the NHS on social prescription. Kate leads leaders. Kate shows her new singing mamas leader recruits just what they are made of!
… Frankie, with her 80+ years on this Earth.. through mentorship…has shown Kate just what she’s made of.
Together they will share with you as much as time will allow.
A very special weekend masterclass retreat in the beautiful countryside of East Sussex

March 17-18th 2023

From Frankies website:

For thousands of years, our ancestors sang to accompany work, devotion, seasonal rituals and social gatherings – to express joy, grief, rage, tenderness, hope and fear. All these emotions can be given full range through the power and beauty of the voice.

To help unlock this, Frankie uses a range of gentle movements and exercises to help relax and free the body and voice. She focuses on how to involve the whole body – to give rise to the voice from the feet on up. She uses chants and songs from around the world, along with simple structures to create vocal ‘events’.

About Kate Valentine

Kate is a registered nurse who has grown and developed the Singing Mamas movement for over a decade, reaching thousands of women. She is gifted in nurturing people, noticing the unique gifts in each woman, teasing them out, allowing people to feel their worth, find their voice and take their place as a leader.

Frankie says about Kate:

“I have known of her pioneering role with Singing Mamas. That makes us both pioneering vocal songstresses.
We are so in tune when it comes to what meaning voice and song is for us and how this is totally interwoven with our values.  I feel her to have such wisdom born of self-awareness born of life’s losses and celebrations and to feel that she spreads compassion in her personal and professional life.
We feel to be soul sisters and will have the joy of meeting in March.”

Kate says about Frankie:

“Finding myself as a leader of leaders – Founder of the Singing Mamas network  – I knew that I needed to sit at Frankie’s feet, learn about leadership through getting to know the woman who has inspired so many thousands with her voice.
I have not only found a supreme leadership mentor, but also a friend.
Frankie’s offering to the world of music and voice is so utterly natural and so perfectly within reach of all who are lucky enough to be near her. “
